Injury latest: Norris out for rest of season, Morison due to return

David Norris has played his last game of the season after suffering from a cartilage problem.

It emerged from the post-match press conference after Leeds’ 1-0 victory against Burnley that Norris will miss the rest of the current season. The news comes as a blow to Norris, who was looking to impress new boss Brian McDermott to secure his future at Elland Road. It is unclear whether Norris is part of McDermott’s plans, but it seems a midfield overhaul is needed in the coming months to spark life into the 2013/14 pre-season.

Meanwhile, striker Steve Morison should be back in contention after sitting out Tuesday night’s game. Morison has been starved of goals since his brace in the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace, and McDermott has been quick to praise his mentality and determination to succeed at United. Image
